Whipping some hair out of his view Petty looked down at his left leg, revealing a large gash most likely the result of one of the rogue splinter shards which lay shattered all around or a book. Which ever it had been, it had done it's damage. ….hmm, most likely internal injury too, just my stroke of luck! Limping, Petty made his way to a wall before leaning up against it for support. Softly, Petty then asks of the creature. "Who are you? I know names mean little without a story behind them, but care to share your name with me?" Petty’s gaze showed pain he tried to cover up as he looked upon the frustrated creature in front of him. Karli observed the stranger in the aftermath with a shake of the head and a whispered curse to all the unseen around her. Glaring about the place, she took a few calming breaths until finally she began to see a small sea of what appeared to be heat ripples about the room. Not sure if this had been an act based on malice or a stint kicked up by the raven, Karli didn't think it wise to get angry with the residents and risk another flare up of inanimate objects. Registering, but not fully hearing the words spoken to her, Karli turned towards the man the raven had came for and stared at him a moment's pause. "Who am I?" she echoed, stress well apparent and barely in check behind those words as she pulled her robber's mask from her head. "Karli," was her short introduction as she made her way towards him to offer any help needed. "I'm sure I'm not as much a stranger as ya first thought," she added, staring the place over one last time for any sign of the raven's return. Nodding Petty said "Yes, I’ve seen you, in passing, a rogue…" Each word was a battle in itself comparable to most Petty had encountered in his life. Petty then lowered his head and shuffled a little away from Karli. "I’m in no need of support…" No? then why can’t you walk? With a sigh Petty leaned even heavier against the wall, having made very little distance from where he once stood and where he found himself now. "…What now?" he asked no one in particular, sighing again and looking back at the floor, white hair falling into his face, some of which tangled with blood from his head wound. "I recommend you clean yourself up as best as possible..." she began, riffling through her pack until she acquired what she sought. "Then leave." Wrapping some healing pastes up in a clean rag, she tossed them at the dark man, then headed towards the open the balcony as though personally haunted by the many spirits about the place. Catching up the rag wrapped healing paste; Petty gaze followed the path of Karli as she walked to the balcony. Looking down to his left leg, Petty leaned to one side and slowly remove a boot to get at the problem area. Removing a blade from his sheath, Petty cringed inwardly as he cut through the lower part of his trousers. They would cost a fair bit to replace, but as they were, they would most likely cost just as much to fix. Eyeing the now visible wound, Petty removed a few pieces of splinter, which had gotten into it and applied the healing paste to the wound with a cringe. "I don’t think I can leave now," Petty spoke slowly, not looking up from his slowly recovering leg wound. "…I was curious about this place to start with, my arriving here being not of my doing and that started my first question of why here? But more I walk, smell, feel this place, it brings forth memories, feelings, emotions, questions I never openly thought…So you see, I can not leave here yet." Petty stared longer at his wound. He had never spoken so long about feelings to anyone for a long time, other than Shadow Vein, and something was odd about this place. The thought of why he was attacked played over and over again his mind. Just one attack, was it just one presence? Or would there be more? Petty was sure it was a one off. Thoughts flew back and forth as he stared, no longer any attention on the wound, but far off in the minds eye. Karli listened vaguely as she stared down towards the graveyard below as it stretched out into unseen foggy depths with it's multitude of unmarked graves and unnamed souls. Losing herself a moment, she spied the faint whisps of wandering spirits trapped within the confines of the graveyard. Aimlessly they wandered, making faint unhuman noises. Unhuman noises from near unhuman spirits. What these people had been or ended up being, Karli's curiosity wouldn't let rest though her common sense told her to let restless ghosts lie. Turning slowly, she pulled herself onto the balcony rail and took a seat, facing the man. Giving him a thoughtful look as she furrowed her brow, she tapped her knee a few times before a look of recognition came over her.
