Chastity's History and a Dusty Poem
Hello, for some of you, who do not know me, I am Lady Rogue Chastity..
My story begins long ago, I was born to a woman known as Ms Abby. She was a Servant to one of the largest homes in the lands of Darormour. The couple she worked for were great wizards. Nobility of Darormour, their names were Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel and daughter Merrian.
My mother was a fine woman of simple needs. We lived in the servant quarters of the home. At the young age of 5 my mother took ill, and died on my 6th birthday. Since I had no other family to speak of the Gabriels decided that I could move into a run down shack a few yards away from the main house. It had the appearance of a Gardener's shack. Every morning I was aloud to go into the back door entering the kitchen to see if there was food for me.
The cook left out the left over food from the day before, if there was any. If not, she left a few pieces of dry bread. Sometimes she would sneak a sweet treat into my food pouch as well. I was secluded in my shack. The hi-light of my days was when Lady Merrian came home from her classes and would sneak over to play with me. About once a week her father, Mr. Gabriel came by to check in on me. He was quite nice, every once in a while he would bring me a treat. He told me to hide whatever he brought because if Mrs. Gabriel were to find out she would be angered, she didn't like me much.
A couple of years went by, one evening Mr. Gabriel came to see me. He seemed quite somber as though he was expecting something to be happening. At the young age of 8 I did not understand his behavior. He asked me if I knew of my father. I told him I did, my mother had told me that he had died. He looked at me with sad eyes and said. "Child, your father is not dead."
I sat silently for a bit.
He interrupted the silence stating, "Child, I am your father. I was deeply in love with your mother."
Tears filled my eyes and I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on so tightly. It was first hug I had since my mother had passed away. That evening as I lay awake in bed, I thought of the happenings of the day. Life seemed to come together. The still, quiet night erupted into a loud mind shattering "boom". I jumped from my bed to peak outside. The main house was on fire. As I looked into the sky I noticed what looked like a Fire Dragon swooping away.
I sat outside for quite sometime just watching in total disbelief of what I had seen. While standing there, the cook came to me and told me to run. Run far away because they would be coming for me. The other nobles in the town had found out about my father's affair with my mother. When Mrs. Gabriel found out of the affair she put a blade right through her heart and killed herself. Mrs. Gabriel's parents were powerful warlocks and in their anger they hired a powerful warlock to kill Mr. Gabriel and me.
Thinking I was inside of the house with the family a powerful warlock cast a strange effect and summoned the fire dragon to set the house on fire. Mr. Gabriel had shamed himself, his town and his affiliates. I was the spawn of something they considered to be dishonorable and dirty. I ran to the outskirts of town and into the forest. I ran until I could no longer run any more. Collapsing from exhaustion I fell fast asleep.
When I awoke, I was in a warm bed. Some thieves out hunting in the forest had found me. They wrapped me up and took me into there home. The trauma of what had taken place left me without a voice. I did not know if I could recover. The two thieves Tristan, and Trista kept me safe and taught me many things. In time they became family to me and my voice returned as did my will to live. As I grew older my curiosity got the better of me. I decided to search out Merrian and tell her of our relation. The search brought me to these fine lands of Cosrin, which is the place I call home.
Merrian is held in Charon's Caves, or so the rumors say. Someday perhaps, I will find her. If not, I have found my place in life, my home and another adopted family.
If I could choose anything to be, I would choose a thief you see.
They are smart, loyal and cunning, some like Shaxul are even quite stunning.
Stealthy and quick they can kill with one hit, some call it cheating, I just call it wit.
Grolsch the guild master, most kind and wise, can kill the Ogre King right before your eyes.
One hit that is all it takes, he slices the head and then takes a break.
The Thieves Guild is the best of all the lands, some can even assassinate with their hands.
No offense mages, fighters and monks, I think your really great but thieves are the best you can't debate.
Jumping in and out of the shadows is so cool, don't ya just wish you had gone to thieves school?
